How to Save Money and Time in Testing Fibers with SmartLoop
The only way to get correct values when performing Tier 2 testing of duplex fiber links with an OTDR is via bidirectional testing that averages the measurements taken from both ends of the link.
Bidirectional testing used to involve testing the fiber from one end, walking the OTDR to the other end to test again and then averaging the two values to get the results—and it had to be done for each link.

Nuevamente es la época del año en la que analizamos lo que pronosticamos serán las tendencias mayores en pruebas en el siguiente año.
Obviamente, el Internet de las cosas (IofT) será siendo el impulsor importante en todos los cableados de redes, desde redes LAN en donde veremos más dispositivos que nunca antes residiendo en cableado de redes con pares trenzados de alambre de cobre, a los centros de datos en los cuales la demanda por enlaces de fibra de alta velocidad continúa expandiéndose conforme las empresas se enfrentan a la necesidad de acceder, transmitir y almacenar más datos que nunca antes.

Acaba de realizar una medición de pérdida usando un Equipo de comprobación de pérdida óptica (OLTS). La medición fue realizada a un límite de prueba, el resultado fue de "PASA", y se proporcionó el margen. ¿Ha pensado acerca de cuánto margen es aceptable?
