... ... .when testing a fiber link, it is probably caused by selecting the wrong fiber type in setup. Version 1,3 will prevent you from selecting the wrong fiber type etc. If you select an application standard such as 1000BASE-SX, you cannot select 50 m or 62,5 m. The length limit for this test depends on the MBW (modal bandwidth) of the fiber you are testing. Go back into the fiber type menu and select a fiber type that has MBW associated with it.
The DTX will now allow you to carry out the test. |
